BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Internal Logistics Technician (M/F/D) at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop the flow of materials between the warehouse and the various areas

  • Collaborate in the creation of supporting documentation for internal logistics processes

  • Support the production layout definition

  • Support continuous improvement projects

  • Control/optimize stocks within the area of responsibility

  • Support with Maintenance Management Tools related to material handling. (Preventive/Predictive)

  • Contribute to the implementation of the factory's Logistics Department's continuous improvement strategy

  • Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards

  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule

  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules

  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules

  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service

Education & Experience

  • High School , preferably with technical-professional training

  • Degree in engineering or related field will be valued

  • Previous experience in a similar role will be valued

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (preferred)

  • Quality and Troubleshooting Tools (5W;Ishikawa;PDCA;8D) (preferred).

  • Computer knowledge from the user's point of view.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbal and written.

  • Good problem solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization

  • Results oriented

  • Fluent in English

  • Fluent in Portuguese

  • Availability for international Business travels
