Job Description

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

THE JOB – Cloud Technology Architect

You will work closely in a team of Architects and Consultants in the consulting practice. Her/his job will be twofold: to participate in projects with delivery goals, to elaborate solutions and provide best practice on the architectures and product technologies implemented being either based on on-premises, on cloud(public or privat), Multicloud or on hybrid infrastructures.

Acting as a generalist & Cloud Architect specialized in design and delivery of Next-Gen Cloud Solutions you will:

  • Conduct assessments and workshops with both technical and business users to define and showcase the value provided by Oracle’s Cloud Stack

  • Work closely with customers, either from a technical or non-technical standpoint, to deliver a solution that fulfils or exceeds their requirements

  • Engage with customers to ensure service needs are being met and deliverables perfectly fit Oracle’s high-quality standard

  • Use deep customer understanding to deliver competitive advantage

  • Demonstrate commercial acumen when engaging and advising a customer

  • Continuously develop and maintain the knowledge of relevant Oracle products and services within the rapidly evolving Cloud platform

  • Participate actively in the internal community and proactively contribute to the growth of Consulting Intellectual Property asset library sharing know how, experiences, collaterals related to delivery experiences

  • Form and maintain strong relationships with product management team

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience and track record in design and implementation of solutions, primarily based on Cloud architectures (Private or public, e.g. OCI, AWS, Azure & Google)

  • Good knowledge of Cloud Services design & delivery model: IaaS & PaaS

  • Database knowledge and hands-on experiences

  • Interested in Technology subjects e.g. Cloud, Virtualisation & Grid

  • Professional in work and attitude

  • Able to learn quickly and strongly self motivated

  • Strong problem solving, planning and self-management skills

  • Good experience in defining & implementation from conceptual solutions

  • Mobility within primarily Germany and Austria

  • Candidate should be located within Germany or Austria, locations Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich or Vienna are preferred

  • In-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required:

  • OCI, OSC or alternative other vendors like Azure, AWS or Google

  • Database Cloud Services

  • Cloud automation tools

  • Conceptual knowledge concerning network, firewalls, VPN or Gateways

  • Exadata expertise (Exa, ExaCC or ExcaCS)

  • Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

  • Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning or migration

  • Enterprise Manager Cloud Control

  • Resource-Management

  • Virtualization or OS Linux

Advantageous but not essential

  • Oracle Golden Gate experience

  • DevOps & Agile methodology experience

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Results-oriented attitude during customer facing activities such as the ability to identify quick win solutions based on customer needs

  • Feel comfortable developing and presenting solutions to IT as well as Business users using the appropriate approach and language

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • A good level of understanding of overall technologies and solutions.

  • Fluency in German, good level of English

Responsibilities

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
