Purpose:

The HR Generalist will be a detail-oriented person responsible for spearheading all assigned tasks and supporting the overall human resource department. including hiring and interviewing candidates, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees new hire onboarding process to ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.

  • Assists with the full-cycle recruitment process including posting job openings, sourcing and screening candidates, managing multiple pipelines, scheduling interviews, tracking manager feedback, administering assessments, composing offer letters, and executing background checks.

  • Performs benefits, performance and compensation administration as needed.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data and management issues.

  • Assists with general HR tasks including managing HR correspondence and departmental projects as assigned.

  • Assists with planning and execution of HR events including wellness initiatives, engagement events, and retention initiatives.

  • Assisting with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belongness program.

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications, assists with compliance efforts, audits, and reports.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a human resource function, prior experience in a technical industry preferred.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in recruiting including continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates.

  • Proficient in using an HRIS platform and ability to use software and databases to communicate with others.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to always communicate professionally.

  • Must be highly organized, pay close attention to details and proactively follow-up.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information. Be able to thrive in a dynamic environment & work independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: We offer a salary based on the qualifications of the position; the minimum salary of the position is $60K
