The Procurement Manager will lead strategic sourcing initiatives supporting several commodity areas and will work closely with key stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies, negotiate national/regional supply agreements while helping to ensure supply continuity. This position will report to the Director of Procurement.

  • Oversees the procurement of multiple strategic commodity areas including temporary labor, uniforms, pest control, telecommunication services, office equipment, office supplies and other duties as assigned.

  • Identify and lead strategic sourcing initiatives using 7-step sourcing approach to meet business requirements and maximize stakeholder value. Drive value by reducing total cost of ownership on a $25MM - $50MM annual spend, increasing cash flow, creating strategic supplier relationships and develop programs that ensure the smooth and continuous flow materials and services to Altium Packaging facilities.

  • Responsible for working with the Accounts Payable group in analyzing and correcting vendor invoice price discrepancies.

  • Analyzes data and reports compliance to management with the objective to increase compliance percentage with contractual suppliers through meetings with plants to identify and correct reasons for the non-compliance.

  • Assists Director of Procurement in developing and maintaining vendor certification and evaluation programs (in conjunction with Quality Assurance), the Altium Packaging Supplier Handbook and Approved Supplier Lists.

  • Actively participates in Supplier Corrective Action requests and claim collection in areas of supplier quality and service problems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be willing to travel 10% - 25%

  • Must be highly organized

  • Must be capable of meeting, negotiating with, and conducting sessions with vendors and should be comfortable developing and presenting category sourcing recommendations for management

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or related field with demonstrated skills in sourcing, negotiating, and analysis of quotes and other economic data analytics

  • Experience in Energy and MRO procurement a plus

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Experience with One World (JD Edwards) a plus

  • CPM, CPSM, CPIM or similar certification preferred
