Description

We are looking for a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team, offering a contract opportunity. The job is located in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role primarily involves account reconciliations and may expand to other project-based needs within the accounting department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close procedures

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is up-to-date and accurate

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Address any discrepancies or issues found in financial reports

• Collaborate with the accounting department to implement new procedures and processes when necessary

• Ensure all financial data adheres to current financial laws and regulations

• Assist in other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements • Must be well-versed in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Proven experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Must have solid understanding of General Ledger

• Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary

• Experience with Month End Close processes is crucial

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is required

• CPA or relevant certification would be advantageous

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills are essential

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in using financial software and databases

• Good organizational and time-management skills.
