Blue Origin LLC Technical Project Manager - Zero Boil Off (R40485) in Wedgwood, Washington

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers (use as appropriate), you will be responsible for cost, schedule, and scope management for an important vertical integration effort. This project will be in Huntsville, Alabama. You will work very closely with the product Responsible Engineer and Operations Teams to rapidly develop a complex and critical product for Blue Origin and will report to the Director of Zero Boil Off. Our goal is to make hydrogen and oxygen storable propellants, unlocking the resources of the moon, and enabling both a permanent Lunar presence and future deep space missions. Special Mentions: Up to 25% travel may be required Relocation provided Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain the work breakdown structure, the project schedule, and the resource plans (labor and non-labor) Perform strategic optimization analysis, including make-buy analysis, should-cost modeling, and utilization forecast Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure timely delivery of hardware and equipment Collaborate with the engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of all product definition Identify risks and opportunities and to develop mitigation/realization plans Generate boards/tools necessary for reporting team status. Lead Tiger Teams when necessary Minimum Qualifications Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as EVM Experience with Agile project management and Jira Software Experience with MS Project, P6 Primavera, or similar Experience with supplier subcontracts Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills Track record of working optimally in multiple subject areas, and leading a diverse multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing construction projects, building retrofits, and machine purchases Experience standing up new product work cells.
