Vertiv Corporation Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - additive manufacturing in Westerville, Ohio

Vertiv is looking for a Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology Engineering in Westerville, OH to support additive manufacturing. This position will lead the strategic analysis & scenario mapping, select and deploy cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies, and implement additive "best practices" throughout the global network of Vertiv manufacturing sites. The candidate ensures that there is consistency in the way all additive projects are scoped, procured, executed, and sustained across plants. The individual will drive strategic initiatives and roadmaps into building problem solving culture while maximizing the ROI to improve operational performance at Vertiv manufacturing sites. This position will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and innovation in our manufacturing processes. Responsible for developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES * The candidate ensures that there is consistency in the way all additive projects are scoped, procured, executed, and sustained across regions & plants. * The candidate will lead the Design for Additive process creation & continuous improvement activities supporting additive adoption globally. * The individual will drive strategic initiatives and roadmaps related to the integration of additive manufacturing technologies globally. * In this role, the candidate will be technically capable to drive industry standards and best practices within the additive manufacturing space. * This includes providing leadership for analysis, design of the process, and facilitation of external system integrators to implement projects globally. * The candidate will actively lead the research of emerging technologies and usage in the industry to build future competitive advantage for Vertiv's manufacturing processes. * The individual will partner with site operations & engineering managers (and teams), along with close relationships to enterprise lean and EHS, and Digital manufacturing team. * Train and educate team members on additive manufacturing techniques, processes, and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field * Proven experience in additive manufacturing processes, including 3D printing technologies * Strong knowledge of materials used in additive manufacturing and their properties. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams * Expertise in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies + additive and processes * Ability to think strategically and drive change in a dynamic environment * Strong project management skills * Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS * N/A TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED * (10%) The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
