Operators:

• Tend to molding presses, sizing presses, sintering furnaces, tumblers.
• Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements .Adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment.
• Load raw materials into production equipment.
• Feed materials or products into or through equipment.
• Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
• Notify others of jams, equipment repair or maintenance needs.
• Clean production equipment and work areas.
• Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Record operational or production data. Inspect products for defects.
• Stage product for further processing or shipment.
• Weigh products.
• Gather scrap material or products for reuse or disposal.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in work area.

Requirements

Physical requirements are as follows:

• Requires ability to stand for periods of time while loading and unloading presses and furnaces.
• Requires ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Requires ability to lift loads of up to 50lbs.
• Requires the ability of fine manipulation and grasping with hands.
• Requires the ability to perform repetitive motions with various limbs.
• Requires the ability to walk, climb, bend, squat, reach and kneel at various times throughout the work day.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret fine print.
