Duties and Responsibilities:
Mechanically and chemically prepare samples for optical, chemical, or physical characterization
Titration testing of chemical baths and development of test methods
Perform basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects
Plan and execute experiments and maintain technical data, such as laboratory test results to support engineering disciplines.
Analyze test results and draft technical reports
Follow procedures precisely to ensure reliability and repeatability of end results
Use of software to maintain test results and track adjustments
Planning and maintenance of material inventory
Identify and correct minor process, material, design, or equipment problems
Support continuous improvement actions regarding processes and lab spaces
Self-manage workflow throughout area with minimal guidance to achieve team goals
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
HS Diploma/GED or AA/AS degree related to engineering, materials, or chemistry.
3+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience with chemicals & testing in a laboratory environment
Experience utilizing guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product is to specifications
Excellent time management skills
Due to the nature of the role, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Office Environments and Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
