JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician 2 is critical to safe and efficient Operations. The Maintenance Technician 2 will be required to perform Routine Preventative Maintenance, Mechanical and Digital Troubleshooting and Repairs of our Facility Production Equipment and Conveyance Systems. The Maintenance Technician 2 must take responsibility for the safety, quality and timely execution of these support services including the training and assistance of Maintenance Technician 1 as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: OCompletes Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Repairs and other written or computer-based documents. ODiagnose Mechanical and Electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, Electrical/Mechanical Schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop) OLearn and utilize Print Factory, Wasatch, Esko and other technical programs. OTroubleshoots and repair Motor Control problems on equipment with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Soft Starts, Servo Drives, and External Input / Output (I/O) Devices. OPerforms Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on Digital and Mechanical Production Equipment, Conveyor equipment, Building Equipment and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck). OCompletes assigned Engineering functions such as Prototyping, Experimentation, Data Collection, Time Studies Safety and Quality Assessments, and Reports (e.g. Nonconformance, Capital Expenditure Authorization, Purchase Requisitions, Request for Quote, Process Sheets, Safety Training Checklists, and others) with minimal support OEffectively communicates issues and propose solutions to other Techs, Production Team Members as well as Leadership. OMay be assigned to Operate Digital and/or Mechanical Machinery as needed to assess and tune to maximize output, and/or to meet business needs. OPerforms general housekeeping and Continuous Improvement activities. OAdheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements. ONotify leadership immediately of any observed compliance gap to codes, standards and regulations (state, federal, or local) OIdentify hazardous conditions and practices and immediately respond to (if trained) nd report any unsafe physical conditions or unsafe work practices to site leadership. OTreats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily. OPerforms other duties as assigned. EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: OTechnical Diploma or equivalent transferable experience required. O3 years of related experience/education in mechanical, electric and electronic operation and repair required. OMinimum of 1 year Experience operating or repairing digital machines such as Printers, Cutters and Lasers GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: OMechanical, Electrical and Motor Control Troubleshooting ODiverse Fabrication Skillset including: lathe, vertical mill, drill press, surface grinder and welding. OProficient in MS Office, Basic AutoCAD and Fusion 360 skills OAbility to consistently enforce LOTO and all other safety protocol OAbility to work independently in the absence of supervision OAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions OAbility to work flexible hours as needed OAbility to work at heights from ladders and aerial lifts OMaintain current certifications: - Bloodborne pathogens - PIT - Respirator - Fall protection PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: OAbility to lift 25 lbs. OAbility to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.
