Description:

We are currently hiring for machine operators! We take very large spools of wire (90% steel) that runs through machinery with dies to trim the wire down to customer spec as well as adding a coating or sealant to the wire. The majority of their wire goes to customers who produce staples (large for construction sites and to as small as staples for a stapler in an office) as well as wire used to make fine wire brushes.

2nd shift (2p-10:30p)

3rd Shift (10p-6:30a)

Skills

Machine operation, lockout, lock out, tag out, visual inspection, machine set up, forklift, safety certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude.

2. Worked in an industrial facility, with machine or production experience, for at least two years

3. Technical school education a plus

4. Willing to learn how to read tape measures, micrometers and calipers. Comfortable using the metric measurement system.

5. Perform simple calculations in your head (addition and subtraction of 3 digits), able to use a calculator for more complex mathematics.

6. Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

7. Able to troubleshoot problems, using standard problem-solving methods to help direct support personnel in resolving issues.

8. Apply common sense methods when preforming written or oral instruction.

9. Capable of pushing, pulling, rolling items and lifting 70 pounds regularly and able to perform all essential work related physical demands.
